Mamutu is a zero-day malware detector and preventor that does not use a signature database to identify any potential malware, viruses, adware and other unwanted applications. Mamutu identifies the malware based on the way it behaves, so that you will be able to use your computer without any fear of attacks by malware, viruses, etc. Since Mamutu identifies the malware based on behaviour, some false positives are natural, but if you are connected to the internet, it will show you what the community has done with the application so that you may be able to decide better.
Mamutu starts up at system boot, which it is the recommended way of starting it, and from then on, it runs in the background as a service that takes up less than 10mb of RAM. To access the settings, status, notifications, etc., you can double-click on the Mamutu icon present in the system tray.
If any application opens and tries to do something within the system and is not present in Mamutu's database, Mamutu will give you a list of options. You can allow the application to run, block it, terminate it and even quarantine it. This allows you to keep a backup of the applications in a special folder just in case you need to restore them back in the event of a false positive.
Overall, Mamutu has a light memory footprint and a high detection and prevention rate which has caused it to be granted many awards by many security websites and software reviews like The cost is worth the amount of protection you get while running it.
